Machine Translation Evaluation
Machine Translation Evaluation: The 21st China Conference on Machine Translation and Multilingual Technology (CCMT 2025)
The 21st China Conference on Machine Translation and Multilingual Technology (CCMT 2025) will be held in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, in September 2025. CCMT aims to provide an interactive platform for researchers in the field of machine translation at home and abroad, to strengthen academic exchange, and to bring together experts and scholars for in-depth discussions on key issues such as theoretical methods, application technologies, and evaluation activities in machine translation. The conference plays an active role in promoting the development of machine translation in China. As per tradition, this conference will continue to organize a unified machine translation evaluation.
Machine translation has already found many cutting-edge applications, which also showcase the unique integration of artificial intelligence and the translation industry. Building upon traditional translation evaluation tasks, this year’s evaluation introduces two additional tasks inspired by real-world application needs: low-resource machine translation and automatic post-editing. These are highly challenging and important frontier topics in natural language processing and artificial intelligence, and research in these areas is of great significance for advancing the practical applications of machine translation. The evaluation aims to provide researchers with an academic platform for exchange and further promote technological research and applications in machine translation and artificial intelligence.
