Conference Overview

The 22nd China Conference on Machine Translation and Multilingual Technology (CCMT 2026) will take place in Kunming, Yunnan, from November 13 to 15, 2026. It is hosted by the CIPS Technical Committee on Machine Translation and Multilingual Technology and organized by Kunming University of Science and Technology. Since the first conference in 2005, twenty-one editions have been held. The first fourteen were called the China Workshop on Machine Translation (CWMT), and the 15th through 20th were called the China Conference on Machine Translation (CCMT). The conference has organized fifteen machine translation evaluations, an open-source system module development event in 2006, and strategic seminars in 2010 and 2012. These activities have contributed to research and development in machine translation and multilingual technologies in China, making CCMT an influential academic event in natural language processing.

This year's conference will offer lectures for students and early-career researchers to share and discuss recent research. It will also organize machine translation evaluations covering bilingual translation, multiple domains, and automatic post-editing, with system demonstrations for researchers and users. Through these activities, participants can exchange ideas and explore the future of machine translation and multilingual information processing.

1. Each accepted paper must have at least one author registered for the main conference; otherwise, it will not be published.
2. “Member” means a member of the Chinese Information Processing Society of China (CIPS). Annual dues are CNY 50 for student members and CNY 200 for professional members.
3. Attendees are responsible for their own accommodation and meals.
